Baptism
There can be at most 2 Godparents. It is possible to have your baby baptized with only one Godparent. This Godparent may either be a man or a woman. Typically there are 2 Godparents, one must be a man and the other a woman. At least one of the Godparents must be a practicing Catholic. This person must be at least 16 years old, and have received all the Sacraments of Initiation, including Confirmation.
A required pre-Baptism class, for the parents, is held on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. No registration is required for the class. If it has been less than 18 months since you last attended a pre-Baptism class, you do not need to attend. You will need to call the parish office and let them know when and where you attended your last class. Thank you. Reconciliation
Confessions are Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The sacrament can also be received anytime by scheduling an appointment with the pastor, Fr. Herb Essig. Marriage
Arrangements must be made with the pastor, Fr. Herb Essig, at least six months in advance. Please call the parish office, 630.759.7588, x105 to request an appointment to speak with Fr. Herb.
